counting his gains, the boy sobbing against the bank on which he had thrown himself, and the monkey gibbering and chattering overhead--a dark shapeless object on an invisible rope. For night was falling where the fun of the fair was not were gloom and a rising wind, lurking cutpurses, and waste land.
The Man in Black Stanley J Weyman 9781542632102 Books
A marvelous tell of woe of a child and his journey finding his true life. Unlike previously read books by Weyman, this book was not written in the old English style of writing. Originally the book almost got tossed aside because the first chapter or so was not to my liking, but then the book seemed to find a flow that continued to be enjoyable to the end. I would almost give this book a 5 star rating but just can't seem to go that far. After the first few chapters the writing is clear and concise.
I found only one typo or misuse of a word which ever it was.
This story would be a good book for a family to enjoy; easy to read.
