I love the Gennita Low novels series of warriors, spy's and espionage and this series is sort of a side track to the others, with a character featured that is also in The Game, I am not a fan of M/M action but that story does play out in the timeline and it is well written. The series is one that I love to follow, so, just be warned, it is descriptive, as all of her novels are.The detailed advancement of the characters stories that entangle in the whole behind the Government battles that wage is real enough to leave you wary of what really happens in this world of hired assassins.

Gennita Low has done it again. This is a fantastic book although not for the faint of heart. It does have an m/m relationship. This book is hot. I LOVED IT.
I love Gennita Low's books. This is the second time I've read this story and I loved it just as much as the first time. Svenni and Martin are great characters. I want to know more about them, what happens next. Just imagine the hot sex on vacation, never mind finding out about the end of this game.
The Pawn is a fascinating and intriguing read. As usual, Gennita Low never fails to amaze me. Her characters are well written, smexy as hell, and they just draw you into their quirky, crazy world. The Pawn is about a deadly game of chess and treasure hunting that goes way back to the Knights Templar days. Martin makes me want to research the Knights just to see if they were all as tall, dark and as sexy as he is! And Svenni just makes me jealous when that beefcake (his man) picks him up and carries him over his nice big wide shoulders. When you get to the end of one of her books, all you can say is more! I want more!! Then you realize that all her books are somehow related so you just have to go back and start reading her first book and go from there. And then she still leaves you with wanting more, no matter how fast or how slow you turn the pages.
I probably should have read some of the other stories in the set, because a few things seemed to go over my head, but overall this was a great little story that I enjoyed very much. I didn't understand "the game" references, but some hot action, some exciting action scenes, and a nice romantic payoff kept me reading anyway. Really good. The cover alone is worth the price of the book. ;)

Well, Gennita Low certainly does it again and this time she has surprised us with some m/m action. I thought her m/f books were hot, but this one is ranked up there with all of her other books. This book is part of a series of novellas of her Sex, Lies, and Spies series and comes after The Game. If you have not read this book, you need to do so now!
Svenni -- a smart ass, snarky, thief -- has caught the eye of Martin Branson, who has been controlling his urges to claim him for 3 long years. Now the time is right and Martin is going after his prize, but there are obstacles in his way, including an old military colleague who is about to kidnap his lover and claim a hefty sum.
The game is already set in motion so now they have to play. Can't wait for their next move. I also love her references to chess moves at the beginning of each chapter. I have played some chess in the past, but never really studied the rules of chess. Very interesting. Might have to google that later after I re-read The Game!

This is Gennita's first foray into writing a story with two male heroes, she goes above and beyond to make the reader see the magic of their attraction and the building of a relationship. Yes, there's hot sex, but you see these two gorgeous men fall for each other even while being chased, shot at and running for their lives. It's sweet. It's sexy. It's their (fictional) life.
What's your next move Gennita Low? I can't wait to see what checkmate looks like.
